Year-round adventure and relaxation in the Alps

Golf

Spectacular Alpine golf with Mont Blanc as your backdrop

The Chamonix Golf Club is one of the most dramatically situated courses in Europe. Set on the valley floor with the towering peaks of the Mont Blanc massif rising on all sides, it offers an unforgettable 18-hole experience. The par-72 course stretches over 6,100 metres through mature parkland with the Arve river meandering through several holes.

The course is open from May to October, with the summer months offering the best conditions and the longest daylight hours. Green fees are reasonable by Alpine standards, and the clubhouse terrace is a wonderful spot for a post-round drink. Equipment hire is available, and our concierge team can book tee times in advance. The course is approximately 10 minutes by car from Chalet Josephine.

Paragliding

Soar above the valley with breathtaking views of Mont Blanc

A tandem paraglide over the Chamonix valley is one of the most exhilarating experiences available in the Alps. Taking off from Planpraz (accessible by the Brévent cable car, a short walk from Chalet Josephine), you soar above the valley floor with the entire Mont Blanc massif spread before you. Flights last 15–30 minutes and are suitable for complete beginners — your qualified pilot handles everything while you enjoy the view.

Flights operate from spring through autumn, weather permitting, and can be booked through our concierge team. It's an incredible way to see the valley from a completely new perspective and makes for unforgettable photos and videos.

Spa & Wellness

Relax and rejuvenate after a day in the mountains

After a day of mountain adventures, there is nothing better than unwinding in Chalet Josephine's private hot tub, with steam rising against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks. The chalet also features a sauna for deep relaxation. For those seeking additional pampering, our concierge team can arrange in-house massage therapists, private yoga sessions, and other wellbeing services delivered directly to the chalet.

Chamonix also offers several excellent spa facilities in town. The QC Terme spa complex provides a luxurious full-day spa experience with multiple pools, saunas, and treatment rooms, all with stunning mountain views. Several hotel spas in the valley also welcome non-resident guests.

Climbing & Via Ferrata

From indoor walls to iconic Alpine routes

Chamonix is the birthplace of Alpinism, and rock climbing and mountaineering remain at the heart of the valley's identity. For experienced climbers, the granite walls of the Aiguilles offer world-class multi-pitch routes. For those new to the sport, several via ferrata routes provide a thrilling introduction — fixed cable routes equipped with ladders and bridges that allow you to experience dramatic vertical terrain in safety.

The Parc de Loisirs des Planards offers a family-friendly via ferrata course as well as an adventure ropes course and luge track. For indoor climbing, the Centre Sportif Richard Bozon has an excellent climbing wall. Mountain guides can be hired for half-day or full-day climbing experiences at all levels.
